Abstract

Most trichobezoars can be removed by traditional surgical laparotomy or laparoscopy; however, these modalities are costly and invasive.4,5 With the development of endoscopic technique and its auxiliary equipment,6 four cases treated successfully by endoscopy have been reported. A case of trichobezoar treated with gastroscopic technique assisted by laparoscopy has been reported.13 In our case a huge (12 cm × 6 cm) gastric trichobezoar composed of hair was removed by endoscopic coagulation cutting method combined with a polypectomy snare and a hook knife.
