Abstract
- Enhancing energy efficiency and improving ecological environment are global issues closely related to the theme of the times. It is of great significance to study the relationship between industrial agglomeration and energy eco-efficiency to promote the coordinated development of ecology and economy・ This study uses the data of different industries in China from 2001 to 2016 to measure the agglomeration level of various industries by the spatial Gini coefficient. Based on the super-efficiency SBM model, the energy eco-efficiency of each industry is measured. With the help of panel threshold regression model, this paper analyzes the nonlinear relationship between industrial agglomeration and energy eco-efficiency. The results show that: the overall development trend of China5 s industry was good from 2001 to 2016, the level of industrial agglomeration showed a fluctuating rise, the degree of industrial agglomeration was stable, and the proportion of medium and high concentration industries was high・ From 2001 to 2016, China's energy eco-efficiency showed an overall upward trend, but the differences of various industries were significant. Mostly technology intensive industries had high efficiency value, and mostly resource intensive industries had low efficiency. The industry cluster index showed double threshold characteristics to energy eco-efficiency, while science and technology level and environmental regulation showed single threshold characteristics to energy eco-efficiency. The scale of industries, the proportion of state-owned enterprises and foreign investment had different effects on energy eco-efficiency. Deepening the division of labor and cooperation among enterprises, liberating the productivity of state-owned enterprises and improving the environment for foreign investment will enhance the promotion of energy eco-efficiency.
