Abstract
- We compare the clinical-technological and physicomechanical properties of hybrid domestic and foreign composites obtained by light polymerization. The specific features of the fracture of materials under the action of local loads applied by the Hertz indentation test with the use of acoustic emission (AE) are investigated. The polymers are ranked according to the degree of water absorption and the value of fracture load. By using the energy criterion for identification of the types of fracture by AE signals, the fraction of brittle fracture is estimated for each material. According to the results of complex analysis of the research data, we make recommendations concerning the proper choice of the composites that can be efficiently used in the dental practice.
