Abstract
- In the article, the author discusses the pros and cons of studying counterfactual history and speculative historiography. Topics include the general trends in the academia focused on the decentralization or decolonization of the narratives of history, the need to study history in retrospect, the events of the Peloponnesian Wars, and the book "The War That Made the Roman Empire: Antony, Cleopatra, and Octavian at Actium" by counterfactual historian Barry Strauss.
