Acyclovir inhibits CyHV‐3 replication in a dose‐dependent manner. An in vitro study.

Acyclovir inhibits CyHV-3 replication in a dose-dependent manner. The viral load in the CyHV-3-infected, ACV-treated group was divided by the viral load in CyHV-3-infected control and the outcomes were expressed as a percent of the control. Contrary to Troszok et al., (2018) that suggested 66.67 µM as a maximal safe concentration of ACV, Quijano Cardé et al. (2020) showed that even 1500 µM of ACV was safe for the koi carp fin (KF1) cell line. [Extracted from the article]
