Abstract
- The article is an obituary for Dipl. Soz. Martin Beyer, a medical sociologist who was dedicated to general medicine. He was the first non-medical member of the German Society for General Medicine and Family Medicine (DEGAM). Beyer worked at various universities and was involved in improving the quality of primary care and patient safety. He was also active in various committees and organizations and made a valuable contribution to the development of DEGAM. Beyer passed away in December 2021 at the age of 64.
