Simplifying glaucoma medical therapy for our patients.

The author discusses the use of compounded fixed-combination glaucoma drops as a potential way to simplify glaucoma therapy and address cost and patient adherence challenges. He notes the findings of several studies on the role of complex regimens in increasing the incidence of ocular surface diseases. He briefly discusses the HORIZON and LiGHT studies which both show the impact of adherence on long-term intraocular pressure control in glaucoma patients.
