Abstract
- This paper focuses on Novelas de varios sucesos (Granada: Blas Martínez, 1635) by Ginés Carrillo Cerón, a book of which only one copy is preserved, and that offers a host of reading problems. We analyze the poems interpolated into the short novels, several of which are by other Baroque writers, such as, e.g., Francisco de Trillo y Figueroa. One of Trillo’s ballads used by Carrillo happens to be the earliest sample of his poetic corpus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
