Aplicaţii farmaceutice ale ciclodextrinelor.

Cyclodextrins are cyclic oligomers which are obtained through enzymatic degradation of starch. Their special structure includes a hydrophobic cavity in which various low soluble drugs can be included, forming water soluble inclusion complexes. This feature enables the use of cyclodextrins in many fields, such as the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry, nanotechnology, medicine, food and textile industry. Obtaining an inclusion complex depends on the chemical structure and physico-chemical properties of both drug and cyclodextrin.
