Clivajes identitarios, inseguridad y medios: una mirada intergeneracional.

This article proposes a journey through the different ways in which insecurity as a problema is experienced in different ways according to the generations. Based on 75 in-depth interviews carried out in the City of Buenos Aires, the article traces, first of all, the main changes in crime prevention practices and behaviors in three age groups: older adults, adults and youth. Second, it seeks a gender approach to fear of crime, taking into account the particularities of young women. Finally, taking the dimension of generation as an explanatory variable, the text immerses itself in the reception of crime and insecurity news, considering intergenerational variations in the consumption of this type of information and its incidence in daily life.
