Abstract

This paper compares the topic of exile found in Saint-John Perse and Yvan Goll's peotry in the catholic journal La Nouvelle Relève (1941-1948). Pulled from the archives and communications of three French-Canadian mediators (Simone Aubry-Beaulieu, Paul Beaulieu and Louis-Marcel Raymond), it explains the exchanges of these poems within a network of francophone journals in the Americas. The author puts these cultural trades in a new international perspective brought forward by the uncertainty of the Second World War and suggests that they are timed with the emergence french-speaking literature in communities around the world.
