The United Nations Global Compact is an important tool, capable of guide the activities of companies to achieving development based on sustainable premises and in attention to the protection of global human rights premises. For the first time, large companies take on the international commitment to act in accordance with the agreed premises and achieve goals that were previously reserved for States. In this perspective, this article, which will address the introductory part of the master's thesis that will investigate the studies on the new role assumed by companies in the international scenario and the commitments assumed through the Global Compact for the protection of rights human rights under our constitutional context.
