Abstract
- As the nitrogen‐containing compounds have broad scope in biological, pharmaceutical, drug delivery, and material science, the C–N bond formation has vital role in synthetic chemistry. To provide a path for the inclusion of nitrogen in organic molecules, a facile establishment of C–N bonds is crucial. Manganese being inexpensive, nontoxic, and earth abundant is found to be a perfect catalyst to carry out amination, instead of using harsh reaction conditions or toxic metal catalysts. Herein, we discuss the manganese‐catalyzed amination reactions focusing on various manganese based catalysts for the C–N bond formation and covers the literature until 2020. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
