Abstract

Singer-Freeman and Robinson (2020a; 2020b) conducted a national survey that identified four compelling challenges assessment professionals deem important, solvable, and impactful. Some assessment professionals are working with faculty and college administrators to use real-time assessment information to guide immediate interventions using adaptive learning, just-in-time material, and campus-wide crisis intervention teams. Singer-Freeman, Robinson, and Bastone (2021) discuss ways that assessment professionals can take a more active role in encouraging equity by supporting the development of a culture of inquiry among faculty.
