Final Piece of Trade Center Project May Involve Battle With Real Estate Clan.

Reports that the Lower Manhattan Development Corp. is facing legal opposition from the real estate business founded by the Milstein family regarding its plan to acquire a block bounded by Liberty, West, Cedar, and Washington Streets and part of Washington Street between Liberty and Cedar Streets needed for the construction of an expanded World Trade Center site. Use of the land for the creation of Liberty Park which will provide a place for the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church; Possibility of acquiring the peace of land through the power of eminent domain.
