Abstract
- Dissipative energy fluxes in evaporative cooling of a substrate by droplets carried in by an air flow have been measured. It has been shown that the frequency of feeding the spray and the difference between its temperature and the temperature of the substrate influence the efficiency of its cooling. Spraying pulses with a relative duration of 0.5 and 0.25 have been investigated. It has been found that the form of these pulses does not influence, in practice, the intensity of cooling of the substrate at spray-feed frequencies higher than 3 Hz. It has been confirmed that the thermal conductivity and thickness of the substrate substantially influence the value of the energy flux dissipated by it. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
