There was also an exchange about the importance of education in making Britain an enterprise culture. Also on Wednesday, 17 November, the Select Committee on Education and Skills took oral evidence for its inquiry into prison education from Phil Wheatley, Director General, Prison Service. On Tuesday 16 November, the Secretary of State for Health made a statement on the publication of the Public Health White Paper.
