Abstract

Conductive coatings based on indium tin oxides (ITO) traditionally use in display and laser technique. They can be significantly changed and improved with the laser processing of surface and by structuring it's with carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The optical losses of material correlate with the refractive index of media, thus it is possible to control reflection and absorption with the border conditions of surface changing. The refractive index of CNTs is approximately 1.1, thus it is possible to decrease the reflection losses dramatically. With the laser we change and control the geometry of surfaces. This approach allows controlling the deposition of CNTs on the ITO surface. In this paper, we propose to evaluate the influence of the laser oriented deposition (LOD) method on the optical transmittance of samples with pure and modified ITO. The obtained advantages of nanostructured conducting media can be applied in photovoltaic, adaptive optics, display techniques, and biomedicine as well. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
