Abstract
- Discusses the English Joint Tortfeasors Act that deals with contribution and related matters. Factors that prompted the creation of he Act; Enactment by the statutes that a judgment against a defendant who has acted in concert toward a common end with another does not bar a later action against the other; Assertion that in its provisions as to contribution, the Act goes far toward consigning to limbo the common law doctrine; Suggestion that the provision operates to exclude certain anomalous cases in which contribution may be thought desirable; Significant single development effected by the Act.
