The author presents the impact of the periods of lockdown and the lifting of lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic on the symptomatology of an obsessional patient having received several years of psychoanalytic therapy. The paradoxical improvement under the constraints of lockdown is highlighted. The resumption of the therapeutic process after several months of lockdown during which it was carried on remotely for an indefinite period, allowed for existential and liberating issues to be addressed.
