Abstract
- The article examines the impact of housing policies and housing rights of tenants and security of tenure during the COVID-19 pandemic in light of evictions filed in New Orleans, Louisiana from March to December 2020. Topics discussed include the impact of the pandemic on the social and economic vulnerability of low-income people and communities of color, role of the race-property relationship in the eviction crisis, and effect of failure of tenants to access legal representation on evictions.
