Abstract
- Deals with issues concerning the clinical utility of serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing for the early detection of prostate cancer. Concern on the inappropriateness of reassuring men whose PSA is below 4.0 ml that they are unlikely to acquire prostate cancer; Problem of those who advocate the early detection of prostate cancer; Several things to advice in men who may be suffering from localized prostate cancer and who wish to avoid developing advanced disease.
