Abstract

The article reports on the deployment by the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the deep-space robotic archaeologist/spacecraft Lucy to study the clusters of asteroids along planet Jupiter's orbital path called Trojan swarms. The aim is to study the origins of the solar system. According to NASA's Bill Nelson, Lucy's mission is to gather evidence to better understand the development of the solar system and humans.
