Everyone stands to gain from diversity in leadership.

The article focuses on the need for improvement in Black and minority ethnic (BME) nurse representation in leadership roles in Great Britain discussed at a National Health Service (NHS) Employers conference held in London, England in September 2017. It was discovered that only 2.2% of nursing director jobs are filled by people from the BME group. The event was attended by nurses, board members, chief executives and diversity experts. Also discussed is the unconscious bias against BME nurses.
