Abstract
- We suggest a scheme that consists of a cavity with a four-level double Λ atomic medium as an intracavity medium. The reflection of an optical vortex light beam field that is incident on a cavity has been investigated by consideration within the coherence theory framework. We study the influence of the orbital angular momentum (OAM) of the vortex light beam on the lateral or Goosâ€"Hänchen shift (GHS) for the reflected beam. It has been investigated that different values of OAM from the incident vortex beam enhanced positive and negative GHS. Also, we consider two fields (including incident) that carry an optical vortex interacting with the cavity. We obtain giant positive and negative GHS via manipulation of the OAM corresponding to the two optical vortex beams. To the best of our knowledge, no one has ever studied such a large GHS in a reflected beam. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
