Abstract

We present the analysis of the identified hadrons (π±, K±) produced at mid-rapidity (|η| < 0.5) in collisions of Au-Au ions with energies S N N = 4 , 7 , 9 and 11 GeV. Particle momentum spectra for charged hadrons (pions, kaons) are measured using data from Monte Carlo generator of Ultrarelativistic Quantum Molecular Dynamics (UrQMD) with particle reconstruction made with the response of Multi-Purpose Detector (MPD) obtained with GEANT3 simulations, on Monte Carlo input. We analyze particle multiplicity dependence on the collision energy. Centrality dependence of transverse momentum spectra was calculated for all particle species. Our goal is to study possible signatures of the phase transition between the hadron state of matter and the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) state. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
