Abstract
- Magnetic field dependence of the electronic spin polarization (P), polarization decay and spin oscillation in gallium arsenide quantum wells is investigated by spin-resolved photoluminescence measurements. In the presence of a magnetic field in the Voigt configuration, the spin-polarized electrons, generated by a circularly polarized light, are drifted by an electric field. The results show that P decays and oscillates with time as well as with the magnetic field. However, the electric field is found to play a vital role in spin dynamics and exchange coupling between the electron and hole spins in the wells. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
