Abstract

Due to the corona pandemic, an extensive bachelor course on chemistry experiments for schools (6 SWS) had to be digitalized within a very short time at the beginning of the summer semester 2020. Weekly seminars and equivalencies to laboratory practical work were conducted in form of zoom video conferences; Moodle served as the learning platform for providing materials, for online tests and for submitting course work. The seminar part started with an instructional phase, followed by a working phase in which the students worked collaboratively on didactical contents. Subsequently, the experiments were provided as videos, which the students worked on in pairs of two and documented in digital protocols. For further processing, the students created, for example, explanatory videos or, with the help of PDF documents accessible online, hazard assessments. At the end of the semester, the digitalized course was evaluated by the students through an online questionnaire. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
