Abstract
- This article aims to present an overview of studies dealing with the use of videos in the teaching of mathematics between 2015 and 2020, and to discuss the role of teacher education in enabling this use. For this, the analysed workswere divided into three strands: class recording, video production and video as a didactic resource. From this organization, we could see the potential of videos for teaching and learning mathematics, especially when the use of these media is done intentionally and reflexively. We also highlight the scarcity of research on teacher education that provide opportunities for the use of videos, and we present a proposal for a teacher training course, in the light of cybereducation. Teachers who participated in this training showed changes in their conceptions about the use of videos and postures in the classroom, evidenced by the activities produced, in which the video acts as a participant in the production of knowledge. This presentation and discussion is intended to stimulate the development of teachers' education actions, as well as further research on this topic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
