Abstract
- The paper analyses the practices of Pedagogy of Alternation at the Family Center of Education by AlternationManoel Monteiro, located in the Municipality of Lago do Junco in the State of Maranhão, with the objective of identify, from the conceptions and practices of its actors, how the Pedagogy of Alternation is being carried out in this institution, highlighting the consonances and dissonances between its practice this pedagogy in the researched school and what is set by the theoretical basis that guides it. The study comes from qualitative research, of the case study type, involving document analysis and interviews as instruments of data collection. A brief characterization of Pedagogy of Alternation is presented, its assumptions and guidelines for the organization of pedagogical work and identifies limits and contradictions of the pedagogical work developed at FCEA Manoel Monteiro in line with the theoretical proposal of alternation pedagogy. The result points to a great gap between what is proposed in the theoretical basis of alternation pedagogy and what is being practiced by FCEA, a situation that induces to precariousness of pedagogical work and the lack of integration between general and professional training.
