Variant readings in the so-called Tbilisi hymn to Dionysus.

The papyrus on which the so-called Tbilisi hymn to Dionysus survives (P. Ross. Georg. I 11 [LDAB 4911 = MP3 01861.000]) is remarkable for preserving, along with the hymn's text, a number of marginal and interlinear variant readings, which, interpreted as authorial variants, have led to the conclusion that the papyrus represents an autograph draft. As the present study argues, it is in fact more likely that the variants belong to a copyist or reviser rather than to the hymn's author. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
