O TEXTO E A LINGUAGEM EM PERSPECTIVA: AS INVESTIGAÇÕES CIENTÍFICAS SOB A LUZ DA LSF NA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DO RIO GRANDE DO SUL (UFRGS).

This article aims to contribute to the understanding of writing and/or rewriting of texts under the Systemic Functional Linguistics theoretical perspective (HALLIDAY, 1978; HALLIDAY; HASAN, 1985). It presents the researches developed in undergraduate and graduate levels as well as publications which address this discussion. The studies focused on this article were developed within the project Systemic Functional Linguistics and Academic Writing/Rewriting. The corpus of this study are texts written by first-year students of the Letters Course at UFRGS. The texts are available in the blog named Reading and Writing of Texts. The results show a concern with the teaching of reading and writing beyond academic context since they help students and teachers to understand how language works. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
