Abstract

Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is a prevalent sleep disorder that leads to excessive daytime sleepiness and poor quality of life. OSAS is characterized by intermittent hypoxia and sleep fragmentation and is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular and neurocognitive disorders.
