Zuranolone leads to rapid improvement in women with postpartum depression.

The investigational drug zuranolone improved depressive symptoms relative to placebo for women with postpartum depression, a Phase 3 trial has found. Improvement was seen by day 3 of treatment in the 2‐week trial, and the antidepressant effects persisted through day 45 of follow‐up, the researchers reported.
