Abstract

Academia generally believes that Laozi is opposed to Confucian rituals. "Rite" is divided into sources, ancient rituals are the source, Confucian rituals are the streams, the "rituals" mentioned in this article specifically refers to the ancient rituals in cultural science, not Confucian rituals. The core of ancient rituals contained in "Book of Rites" is the spirit of temperance and comity. Through the analysis of the salvation thought presented in the book "Laozi", it is found that the concept of "little desire" in "Laozi" is the concrete "reproduction" of the "temperance" spirit of ancient rituals, and the concepts of "selflessness" in "Laozi" are ancient rituals. The "contemporary interpretation" of comity "spirit". Based on this, we can say that "Laozi" is the book of "Zhenxia Qiyuan" written by Gu Li in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period. On the other hand, the profound relationship between Lao Tzu's thought and the spirit of ancient ritual culture in our historicist attitude can draw a new perspective to explain Lao Tzu's thought.
