Climate, risk, catastrophe and crisis on both sides of the Atlantic during the Little Ice Age (LIA). A proposed Research Project.

This paper describes the current research project (2018 -2021) bearing the same name, and financed by the Spanish Government. Focusing on the climatic phenomena associated with the Little Ice Age (LIA), their financial, social and cultural effects, and the main efforts to resist and counteract their disastrous effects, the project has an extensive multidisciplinary team of researchers from Iberian and Mesoamerican countries.
