In the Kutahya Magazine, in the theater play "Grek Cruelty-Turkish Victory" published by Hamza Guner in 1927, the atrocities committed by the Greeks in the villages of Kutahya during the occupation period were explained. The Greeks caused great damage to Kutahya and its surroundings during the War of Independence. Grek persecution transcended such dimensions as food and Money confiscation, threats and torture; Grek cruelty has reached the extent of rape and murder. During this period of Grek rule, Kutahya villagers of were disarmed and traveling from one village to another was prohibited. The villagers of Kutahya, who continued their iner lives with spies, has cautions and indecisive and felt desperation in all their selves. The Greeks, along with the people, began to burn houses and threshing floors during the Great offensive. The villagers, fearing that their village would be burned and killed by the enemy, waited to be rescued. The sad and dramatic events that took place during this period were expressed in the theater. This study, which tells about the situation of Dumlupinar and some villages before the Great attack, is a guide regarding the history of the War of Independence in Kutahya. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
