Abstract

A few days ago a physician told me: due to COVID-19, 50% of the people that works in my hospital left due to union leave because comorbilities, another 5% due to license without pay, a few others left because of vacations and a few others because they are infected with SARS-CoV-2, at the end, 50% left. These are words of a physician who is seeing patients. Feeling alone, he remembers when he went to med school Why did I study medicine? and remembers: «I enjoy helping people», «Doin good to others» «Taking care of sick people». Nowadays due to the pandemic of SARS-CoV-2 that his life is at risk, it is in this pandemic where the physician finds himself before an implacable judge: his consciousness, which is impossible to evade. The medical duty is to protect the sick, but what happens if the physicians have a fear of getting sick or spread the illness to their family? If they don't have the ideal protective equipment? In them for all the responsibilities and they feel a commitment with the ill. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
