Abstract

We study the vortex dynamics of spin-orbit-coupled (SOC) spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensates by numerical simulations of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation. We consider three types of SOC, Rashba, Dresselhaus and an equal mixture of Rashba and Dresselhaus. Different vortex structures and vortex formation process are observed by means of the density distribution, time evolution of the angular momentum per atom and root-mean-square in each component. Our results shows that the type and strength of SOC play a significant role. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
