REESTRUTURAÇÃO URBANA EM UBÁ-MG: UM ESTUDO SOBRE A FORMAÇÃO DE UMA NOVA CENTRALIDADE URBANA NA ZONA OESTE DA CIDADE.

The present work seeks to understand the constitution of a new urban centrality in Ubá-MG. It proposes that the nature of urban centrality is diverse in its contents, processes and forms, as the urban space is permeated by equal diversity. It aims to explain the nature of the urban centrality established in the West Zone of the city, considering the contents, processes and the agents that constitute it, as well as the competing factors for its diversification. To this end, the work proposed the construction of an approach that aims to understand the geography of Ubá, recognizing and identifying criteria for the qualification of the city, revealing axes of integration in the territory and different patterns of distribution of urban centralities.
