NOTAS SEMIÓTICAS SOBRE MEMES.

Grounded in semiotics perspective, this article focuses on the memes efficacy and meaning effects throughout the study of meme circulation during the covid-19 pandemic period (from March to February/2020) in Brazil. The analysis is based on selected characteristic aspects such as: dissemination, built on a tension between replication and invention, taking in to consideration internet users practices of production, reading and sharing; the playful aspect of memes and its role in communities creation and maintenance; and the passionate and actions models condensed in memes.
