Abstract

Introduction: New ways of teaching and learning are applied in classrooms with the generation of technological resources, among which learning objects stand out as a trend in the production of educational content. At the University of Pinar del Río "Hermanos Saiz Montes de Oca", there is evidence of an approach to learning objects with difficulties in the management and reuse process. Objective: carry out a review with a bibliometric approach to the specialized literature on learning objects taking into account the scientific production between the years 2015 to 2020 due to its importance in the educational field. Materials and methods: the guiding method used was the materialistic dialectic method. Bibliometric indicators were applied to the scientific production indexed in the Microsoft Academic, Scopus and Web of Science databases in order to obtain information related to the evolution of said subject. The Publish or Perish 7 program and Microsoft Excel were used to quantify the data. Results and discussion: as a result it is described that the years 2015, 2016 and 2018 were of higher scientific productivity. It was found that the countries that have contributed to the issue were: Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina and Ecuador with a co-authorship index of 2.52. The study offered a theoretical deepening for future research on learning objects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
