Abstract

The article presents information about German Chemical Society (GDCh) Biannual Conference in Munich 2003. The Division of Analytical Chemistry of the GDCh organized four of these symposia, while the DASp, German Working Group for Applied Spectroscopy, coordinated two and the Division's Separation Science Working Group coordinated one symposium. All speakers emphasized the fact that the complex problems they are facing today require the use of complex analytical techniques--usually highly developed separation methods in combination with highly sensitive spectroscopic detection or identification methods.
