Production Status and Projection of Modified Starch.

The article discusses production status of modified starch. Modified starch is one of the intensively processed products of starch. It is mainly used in papermaking, textile, food, feed, casting, fine chemical, pharmaceutical, coating and construction material sectors in China. Modified starch has an extensive development space in China. The production process of modified starch in China is outdated and can not meet the requirements of high-grade users. To meet the needs in industrial production, therefore, China imports more than 100, 000 tons of modified starch from abroad each year.
