Abstract

One of the notable few is Canada's Mount Logan, the country's highest mountain at 19,551 feet above sea level. Canada's high, icy, and very remote Mount Logan has proven a stage for some of humanity's riskiest exploratory feats, notably in the fields of glaciology, meteorology, and research of high-altitude and high-latitude environments. Summiting each of these mountains is a treasured and elusive goal for many alpinists, as the mountains, notably Logan, have proven to be treacherous and exceedingly difficult to climb.
