In the province of Ziro (Center-west of Burkina Faso), endowed with good agricultural potential, the increase in demographic pressure and the strong dynamics of commodefication driven by land policies combine locally to exacerbate competition for land and cause problems of land insecurity for migrants. The goal of this text is to question the links between these policies (state support policy for agribusiness and Law 034- 2009 on rural land tenure) and the changes in the relations between migrants and natives in Ziro. It also underlines the difficulties migrants have in mobilizing to their advantages, in the context of the implementation of Law 034-2009, the arbitration bodies linked to land withdrawals. Finally, it is interested in the analysis of the strategies that these migrants develop to secure their rights. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
