Abstract
- The present article proposes to verify elements of the organizational climate and its possible relations with signs of vulnerability to stress present in the military police officers of the BOPE (Battalion of Special Police Operations) and the 22nd BPM (Battalion of the Military Police) of the PMSC (Military Police of Santa Catarina). Through the application of the questionnaire EVENT (Vulnerability to Stress at Work Scale), the work collected quantitative data from a sample of 155 military police officers from the active service, including officers and officers. Data analysis revealed higher percentages of BOPE military police officers in the medium high and high levels of vulnerability to stress in relation to the climate and organizational functioning. Police officers working in operational activities showed higher levels of vulnerability to stress, when compared to administrative activity. Women tend to have higher levels of vulnerability to stress compared to men of the 22nd BPM, just as the Squares present in both units, 22nd BPM and BOPE, higher levels of vulnerability to stress, when compared to the Officials. Given these and other results presented in the course of the work, it can be seen that police activities need attention not only from military managers, but also from public policies of the State, as this is a work of great importance whose nature requires not only physically, but emotionally of those who are part of it.
