Abstract
- The article focuses on annual conference in Washington, D.C., in July of 1896, the Colored Women's League made a pilgrimage to John Brown's Fort on the Alexander Murphy Farm in West Virginia and the League, led by noted educator Mary Church Terrell, was founded in 1892 as a local club.
