This study analyzes the contribution of the first Dominicans to medieval pedagogy, through the pedagogical work of Vicente de Beauvais. His pedagogical works, although they are wide and very varied, focus on four core themes: history as a method of knowledge, the ideal of wisdom, the figures of the teacher and the disciple, and health education. Topics that served to turn pedagogy into a science, mark the pedagogy of the thirteenth century and serve as a bridge between classical pedagogy and humanist education. The research is supported by the study of four key pedagogical works: Libellus apologeticus, Speculum naturale, Speculum doctrinale and De eruditione filiorum nobilium. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
