Online platform connecting minority trainees with minority mentors.

The article describes an online mentorship portal designed to foster mentorship relationships between underrepresented in medicine (URiM) trainees and URiM faculty. According to some studies, students, residents and faculty from racial backgrounds experience less supportive, social, learning and work environments. Demographic factors considered in the study are cited such as race/ethnicity, outside interests and specific areas of mentorship.
